INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDERS
Courtney Agencies gets any and all kinds of goods from point-to-point anywhere in the world.
Based at Canada’s west coast shipping hub in Vancouver, we сelebrate the value of global trade and its role in growing economies and enterprises. Through carefully selected and cultivated partnerships, we offer the reach of a global firm with the benefit of high-touch and hands-on service.
Your proactive partner
Courtney provides the personalized, hands-on attention that clients want and deserve from their logistics companies. It’s a complicated business and our expert staff are hands-on with every move. We provide status updates and communicate regularly with our clients in the way that suits them. And we’re proactive in the management of issues as they arise… often before you even know about them.
We consider multiple factors when moving your goods: costs, vendor quality, schedules, special handling, and carbon impact. As an added bonus, unlike many other logistics companies, we are as solid in providing Customs Brokerage services as we are in International Freight Forwarding.
You’re insured and in good hands
We are careful to make sure that the right level of insurance is available for every shipment – giving you and us peace of mind. Carriers are required to carry insurance, but typically it’s very limited. Customers often want cargo insurance to protect their goods from loss, damage, or theft until they reach their destination. Courtney provides the right type of insurance for your situation.
You need an experienced international freight forwarder with a network of trusted partners and a solid track record – and Courtney Agencies is just that. Through a carefully selected combination of modes and providers, Courtney Agencies provides the logistics solutions to move your products and materials via ocean, air, rail and road to get to their destination. Door to door, port to port, we are able to meet your needs.
All modes, all destinations, all kinds of goods
Courtney is well established with ocean carriers and will arrange sea freight for your goods from anywhere in the world into or out of North America, including delivery to and from ports, warehouses and final destinations. If your time frame is not urgent, marine freight saves you money, and provides a lower carbon footprint than shipping by air.
Air cargo is ideal for time sensitive shipments where low-cost is not the highest priority. Courtney will move your goods between any airports in the world, arrange cargo pick-up, customs clearance and delivery to your final destination.
Courtney moves truck freight across and throughout North America every day of the week. Single pallet to truckloads to oversize cargo, we have the knowledge and relationships to arrange and oversee your truck freight requirements.
We can move your goods by a combination of rail (a greener alternative) and truck – choosing the right solution for your needs. And we arrange warehousing, including deconsolidating and repackaging when required.
Importation rules can be complicated
Rules vary among countries and so let us manage the details. For example, on behalf of businesses or individuals Courtney is well-versed in the requirements for bringing vehicles into and out of Canada. Beyond that, we manage the transportation of dangerous goods with the utmost care.
We have a robust service filing Advanced Commercial Information (ACI) on behalf of our clients including carriers. Courtney is also a true expert in filing E-Manifest which has some complicated rules. We’re well-versed in the new system introduced by the Canada Border Services Agency (CARM), and can serve as support and the interface between you and the system.
Carbon neutral shipping
If you and your company are conscious of the carbon impact of freight shipping, we’re your forwarder of choice. We work to minimize the greenhouse gasses of your shipments and offset all emissions for Courtney-arranged trips.
