Our Responsibility

In the last few years, Courtney has brought focused attention to its responsibility—as a business, as a member of society, and as an employer.

We articulated the values by which we have always lived into a credo that now gives direction to our corporate decision-making, and lets our clients and customers know who we are and of our intentions.

We continue building our understanding of our impact and influence (positive and negative) as well as what we can action as we strive for a better world.

We see our responsibility reaching from: reducing the environmental impact of our operations as well as our services; serving as a whole-person employer; recognizing our privilege and contributing to relief efforts and other forms of community investment; contributing to the ethical supplier movement, and being aware of ethical environmental and labour practises throughout the supply chain.

Courtney Agencies is just one modest player in a very big world; we know its important to not overstate our impact. It is our intention, however, to be part of the change in the biggest way we can. As Margaret Mead said, “Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” Another voice at the table, another contributor to learning and sharing of information, another company contributing its weight to get us to the tipping point.

It is from this place that we set our intention through our social purpose statement.
