Welded pipe from six countries will remain subject to anti-dumping duty
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced the continuation of its 2012 order concerning the dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei, India, Oman, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, and the subsidizing of the aforementioned goods from India.
The Tribunal found that the dumping and/or the subsidizing was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties on these products.
In May the CBSA had determined that the expiry of the Tribunal's findings was likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods.
