CBSA starts dumping investigation on corrosion-resistant steel sheet from four countries
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) launched an investigation into whether or not certain corrosion-resistant steel sheet from China, Chinese Taipei, India and South Korea are being sold at unfair prices in Canada. The investigations follow a complaint filed by two Canadian manufacturers.
In the next step of the investigations the Canadian International Trade Tribunal will first determine whether the imports are harming Canadian producers.
Concurrently, the CBSA will investigate whether the imports are being sold in Canada at unfair and/or subsidized prices.
Anti-dumping duties could eventually be applied to the goods under investigation.
