Dumping would resume if duties expired on steel sinks from China, says CBSA
In April 2017 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its 2012 finding concerning the dumping and subsidizing of stainless steel sinks originating in or exported from China.
Following the Tribunal's decision the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods.
The CBSA's investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the finding:
is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from China
The Tribunal will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its finding is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision by February 8, 2018.
