Tribunal to review expiry of duties on transformers from Korea

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has now initiated an expiry review of its finding concerning the dumping of certain liquid dielectric transformers from the Republic of Korea. The Tribunal's finding, in November 2012, imposed anti-dumping duties on these goods.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will determine, by December 22, 2017, if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping of the goods if the finding is left to expire.

In the event of positive determinations by the Agency, the Tribunal will determine, by May 31, 2018, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury to Canadian manufacturers.
