Ottawa publishes proposed regulations to implement CETA

Changes to a number of laws, regulations and orders are necessary to fully implement Canada's commitments under the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) which will come into effect on September 21.

As a first step, the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement Implementation Act received royal assent on May 16, 2017

The Federal Government published in the Canada Gazette, on July 15th, the following proposed regulations to implement the Agreement:

Customs Tariff - Proposed Regulations for the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union

Export and Import Permits Act - Proposed Regulations for the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act - Proposed Regulation for the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union Coasting Trade Act - Proposed Regulation for the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union
