Tribunal may exempt more fasteners from anti-dumping duty
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an interim review of its long standing order which imposed anti-dumping and/or countervailing duties on certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from China and Chinese Taipei (Taiwan).
The purpose of this interim review is to determine if the findings should be modified to exclude the following product, as requested by a Canadian company:
Square drive wood screws, scored so that upper portion of the screw and head can be easily snapped off, 3" or 3.5" in length, of a #8 or #9 diameter, threaded in part with 8 threads per inch and in part with 9 threads per inch, with the remainder unthread, and covered in a Gleitmo 615 lubricant coating (or equivalent coating).
Each person or government wishing to participate in the interim review must file a notice of participation with the Tribunal on or before noon on March 6, 2017.
