• Proposed Order Amending the Export Control List. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) seeks to amend the Export Control List (ECL), specifically item 5505 - Goods and Technology for Certain Uses.

Canadian Food Inspection Agency

• Industry Bulletin - CFIA accepting shipments of fresh fruits from California when certified free of European grapevine moth.
• CFIA stops issuing import permits for certain plant pests being used as feed, bait or pets. Any permits that have already been issued will remain in effect until their expiry date. No extensions or amendments will be given.
• U.S. Removes Temporary Restrictions on B.C. Cattle and Bison. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has removed temporary brucellosis testing requirements for certain cattle and bison from British Columbia.

Environment Canada

• Environment Canada Notice to anyone engaged in the use of methyl bromide. The annex of this notice describes the criteria, process and schedule that the Department of the Environment will use to determine the relevance of applications it receives from persons seeking to use methyl bromide in Canada towards Canada making a nomination for an exemption for a critical use of methyl bromide under the Montreal Protocol.
